What have you been up to since Almost Live ended?
These days, I'm writing screenplays, with scripts in development at Paramount, Universal, Warner Bros. and Pixar. The first one to be produced is an original titled "Nebraska" (the name will probably change), scheduled to shoot this September, directed by Alexander Payne (Election, About Schmidt, Sideways.) Currently I'm working with Chris Rock on the adaptation of a French movie.
What was your favorite Almost Live sketch?
I don't really have a favorite sketch, but with the passing of Dave Niehaus a piece we did with him called "Low Key Baseball Network" is certainly a sentimental favorite.
What is your best Almost Live memory?
It's also hard to pick a memory out of so many, but the insane summer we all rallied together and made the shows for Comedy Central comes to mind.
As for an individual memory, receiving the first message that producer Bill Stainton from Almost Live! had called is hard to beat. Looking at it that way, it sounds like the next ten years were all downhill from there. But in reality, the time I was on Almost Live! with such great people make up one big favorite memory.
