It's the last weekend of April. So, what's going on? Lynn Jacobson is the features editor of The Seattle Times to tell us about events this spring weekend.

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY
Perhaps it's fitting that this annual giveaway takes place the same day. "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" kicks off the summer blockbuster season. Several local stores participate.

CINERAMA'S SCI FI FILM FESTIVAL
This annual festival got underway Thursday, May 1, and continues
through May 12.  See restored prints of classics, such as "2001: A Space
Odyssey," "Alien" and "Barbarella."

FARMERS MARKETS
They're already operating in the U. District (Saturdays) and Capitol
Hill and West Seattle (Sundays), but look for the return of seasonal
farmers markets in many neighborhoods - including Columbia City, Lake
City, Phinney and Magnolia - in coming weeks.

If you want more information, check out the weekend plus section of The Seattle Times.
