The YWCA of Seattle-KING-Snohomish has just wrapped up a record breaking fundraising season and KING5 is proud to have participated in the success!
Over three months starting in March, the YWCA hosted three Inspire Lunches in Bellevue, Seattle and Everett.
They invite inspiring women to share a personal connection to the YWCA and its services.
The 2010 keynote speakers include author Elizabeth Gilbert, activist Gloria Steinem, and singer/actress Jennifer Holliday.
Our own Jean Enersen served as emcee for the events in Bellevue and Everett.

In all, 4,360 guests generously contributed $1,544,129 dollars, more than any other lunch series in their 22 year history!

More about the YWCA:
The YWCA's mission is to advance the quality of life for women of all ages, races and faiths, and their families.
In support of this mission, the YWCA provides services to meet critical needs, promote self-sufficiency, reduce violence, eliminate racism and achieve equal opportunities for all people.
