Seattle, WA – KING 5 is pleased to welcome Tracy Taylor as traffic anchor on KING’s Morning News. Tracy brings extensive local radio traffic reporting experience with her to KING 5.

Taylor’s traffic reports during the busy morning commute is part of KING 5’s highly rated weekday morning news with anchors Joyce Taylor, Brad Goode and meteorologist Rich Marriott.

“We all know that driving around the Northwest can be a challenge,” said Pat Costello, Vice President and KING 5 Station Manager. “Tracy has a proven track record of letting people know where the trouble spots are around town. We’re very pleased that she’s bringing her traffic expertise to viewers of KING 5 Morning News.”

Taylor debuted at KING 5 in January 2010.  She replaces Meeghan Black who left the traffic anchor position in December to be the full-time host of KING 5’s “Evening Magazine” show.

Tracy’s traffic reports on KJR AM Sports Radio 950 began in 2001. She left KJR radio and moved to Spokane, her hometown, to become a television weather anchor at KREM-2 – a sister station to KING 5. After a year in Spokane, Tracy moved near Raleigh, North Carolina to be a radio program director. She also worked in radio in Huntsville, Alabama before returning to KJR in 2005 as the morning on-air traffic reporter.

Taylor stays active in the winter with skiing. When the weather heats up, she participates in softball, wakeboarding and golf. Tracy also is a fan of college basketball and Seahawks football.

The KING 5 Morning News begins at 4:30 AM on KING 5 and moves to sister station KONG-TV 6/16 from 7:00 to 9:00 AM.
