It might be the most memorable outfit any woman buys. But designer wedding gowns can put a pinch in any bride's budget.
That's where the Oregon charity Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation comes in. They're helping make a difference on many wedding days, and it's all to achieve the dream of another group of women.
Making Memories travels around the country selling new and gently used wedding dresses. Brides on a budget can get their gowns for up to 75 percent off.
But it's not just one wish that this group is granting.
All the money from these sales funds the group's main mission -- to help create special memories for terminal breast cancer patients.
"To find that special dress and know that the dollars that I would be paying would be directly helping somebody make a memory and have a wonderful experience with their family was just incredibly gratifying," said bride-to-be Jen McIver. "I left just on a high."
Organizers of the "Brides Against Breast Cancer" sale are planning an event in Seattle this fall. For more information, visit http://bridesagainstbreastcancer.org/.
