The largest adoption event of the year is set for Saturday, Aug. 4.
The Dugan Foundation will present the sixth "Woofstock," which will feature lots of musical entertainment and nearly 200 pets looking for homes.
The event at Todd Field on the campus of the University of Puget Sound is free. Last year more than109 animals found homes in six hours.
More than 30 rescue and shelter organizations will will be at Woofstock. To be sure you get the right fit, there will be fenced meet and greet areas where everyone (including pets) can meet and play with adoptable animals.
In addition to the dogs, cats, bunnies, birds and ferrets up for adoption, there will be pet related shopping and services.
Woofstock 2012 is from 10am – 3:00pm on Todd Field on the campus of the University of Puget Sound, 1500 N. Warner Street in Tacoma
Admission to Woofstock 2012 is free. Donations are appreciated. Money raised will go to Dugan's grant program and the development of a 15-acre off-leash dog park in Tacoma.
