Members of the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office volunteer Search and Rescue rescued a little dog that had fallen 25 feet down a bluff near Port Angeles on Saturday.

“Bella,” a 6-year-old female Bichon/Shih Tzu mix, had disappeared on Friday evening and was found on a ledge on Saturday afternoon.

The Search and Rescue Team deployed Search and Rescue member Ed Phillips over the embankment to rescue the dog.

Search and Rescue member Parker Stoops tended and observed Phillips during the technical rescue.

Although cold and wet, “Bella” is well and seemed to be in high spirits.
