This photo of a man helping to ease his elderly dog’s pain by floating him in Lake Superior has become an internet sensation.

John Unger of Bayfield, Wisconsin has had his dog Schoep for 19 years. When he learned that Schoep has severe arthritis and may not live long, he was determined to alleviate his best friend's pain.
