Interbay Urban Center is hosting a Pet Adopt-a-Thon on Saturday, Aug. 25. Cats and dogs from the Seattle Animal Shelter and the Seattle Humane Society will be up for adoption.
The goal of the event is to find loving, permanent homes for foster animals.
The adoptathon will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at the Interbay Urban Center located at 1827 15th Ave. W. near the Whole Foods. The event will take place in the space between Peet's Coffee and Tea and Whole Foods and will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Seattle Animal Shelter cats over 6 months old are free, and kittens are "adopt two for the price of one." Licensing fees may apply. Single kitten adoption prices range from $157 to $162, from $82 to $237 for dogs, and include:
- Initial vaccinations
- Deworming
- Feline Leukemia testing (for cats)
- Certificate for free health exam at local veterinarians
- Spay or neuter
- Microchip
- Seattle Pet License (if applicable)
On Sunday, The Seattle Humane Society Maxmobile will be at the Redmond Whole Foods store at 17991 Redmond Way from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
