A Northwest "match-making rescue" is holding an adoption event today in Kirkland.
"Saving Great Animals" is not a shelter. They have no public facility. They rescue animals from kill shelters and work to rehabilitate and rehome them. They will match a pet to your lifestyle with the goal of one forever home.
The group has saved more than 3500 dogs since 2007.
Today they are holding an adoption event from noon to 5 p.m. at Denny's Pet World,12534 120th Avenue NE in Kirkland.
One of the dogs up for adoption is little Angelo, a chihuahua mix who lost his home, found himself on death row, scared to death and now is waiting for a great home or foster.
Become a foster parent
Could you be a foster parent? Fill out an application. By taking an animal into your home on a temporary basis, the animal is given an opportunity to adjust to a home environment, and Saving Great Animals gains additional time to find a permanent home.
