Dog's trek
A dog that got loose from her home near Fishermen’s Terminal managed to find her way back to the place she knew to be safe – the doggie daycare she visits regularly.
Jackie, who works at SPAWZ near Northgate, says on arriving at work early Saturday she found a dog at the doorstep, sopping wet and cold.
Her first thought was that somebody had dropped a dog off and left them for someone to find, but when Jackie and her co-workers got closer, they realized it was
Meadow, a dog that frequents the daycare for daily play time and occasional boarding.
The owner was called, and she said Meadow had gotten loose on Saturday. She was terribly upset and at a loss for where Meadow had gone.
“The sweet girl miraculously found where her favorite daycare building was on foot from the Fishermen’s Terminal to Northgate,” Jackie said. “She had to have crossed the Ballard Bridge, 15th and Aurora Avenue, not to mention many other busy streets.”
Meadow is now safe, dry and warm at home with her grateful owner.
