'Tis the season of giving so why not give to the animals?
The Seattle Humane Society and Safeway are teaming up for the annual Holiday Pet Food Drive to help fill the shelves of the Humane Society Pet Food Bank.
Collection barrels will be in King County Safeway store Nov. 26-Dec. 31. Dry cat food is their greatest need.
Seattle Humane Society's Pet Food Bank provides pet food every month to more than 1,200 pets belonging to low-income seniors and people disabled by AIDS. Thanks to the Pet Food Bank, more than 930 pet owners each month don't have to choose between self care and pet care.
Our volunteers pack, load and deliver this canned and dry pet food to local senior centers, low-income housing complexes, food banks and individual homes.
