A pit pull named "Doggie B" when he was found roaming in the area of Denny Blaine Park in early February is now known as Stanley and he's ready for a new home.
Stanley was badly emaciated when he was found by a UPS driver and was in need of medical attention.
Stanley is now in a foster home, and is said to be a "big snuggle-bug of a dog." Before and after photos show how far he has come.
The shelter says despite his rough history, he has bounced back and is regaining his health. He loves playing with his foster dog sister and lying on the couch with his head in his human's lap.
He's very treat motivated and has been easy to train - he's really good in his obedience class. He walks wonderfully on a leash, is crate-trained and quiet.
The shelter says Stanley is a medium energy dog who will need a patient, dog experienced guardian who can help him gain more confidence. He likes routine and is very sensitive, so harsh corrections are not needed or appropriate.
