There has been a lot of conversation about the 22-pound Portland cat "Lux," whose owners called 911 to report that he attacked their baby and trapped them in their bedroom.

Lee Palmer admitted that the cat scratched the 7-month-old child after the boy pulled its tail. The baby wasn't injured.

Palmer told the 911 operator: "He's charging us. He's at our bedroom door." Palmer also tells the dispatcher the cat has a "history of violence."

Now cat expert and host of the Animal Planet show "My Cat From Hell," Jackson Galaxy, is speaking out on behalf of the cat.

Galaxy told Oregonian reporter Monique Balas that there is always a human component to these sorts of cases, but the first thing Palmer needs to do is take Lux to a vet to get checked out for any possible physical issues.
