UPDATE: Hugh has been adopted! The happy announcement is featured on Old Dog Haven's Facebook page.
The shelter had been trying for months to find a good home for "Hugh Hefner," who they say has "the sweetest smile and most wagging tail in town."
The Arlington rescue group says Hugh is likely a Labrador with some beagle in him. He's 49 pounds, is well housebroken, doesn't get on the furniture and has learned that new dogs can be fun. Once he gets comfortable he loves to wrestle and play.
He will sleep quietly in a bed next to yours, and when he hears you waking up his tail will thump with excitement.
He would do well as an only dog if he wasn't left alone a lot or was with friendly dogs. They are are not sure how he is withcats.
Hugh is in foster care in Seattle. He and his friend Solomon are the official greeters at his foster mom's work, Deluxe Hair in Phinney Ridge.
If you'd like to visit Hugh, check out the Old Dog Haven website.
