A cat that disappeared from her family’s RV in Elma a few years ago has been captured by a group working with feral cats and they are now desperately trying to track down her family.
Lisa Bennett with Community Cat Outreach says the group was contacted by the Elma Travel Inn in February to trap a few “feral” cats. But one of the cats they trapped was not feral at all - she was the pet who belonged to a couple who had been stayingat the park in their RV 2-3 years ago. The family came back repeatedly to search for her, and now that she has been found the family cannot be located.
“Maddy" escaped from the RV and had been living as part of a feral cat colony every since. Little is known about the couple who own Maddy but it is believed that her owners are an older couple who live in the Seattle area and also own a small dog. They are believed to have a son in the Montesano area.
Community Cat Outreach says Maddy is a sweet but very scared girl. They continue to work to find her owners.
