Seattle Humane Society found homes for a record 226 pets during their first-ever Free Adoption Fair over the weekend.
Friday was the first day of the three-day adoption extravaganza and Seattle Humane found loving homes for 103 pets - an all-time high for most adoptions ever done in a single day by the shelter.
Nearly 2,500 people visited Seattle Humane over the weekend to meet hundreds of kittens, puppies, dogs, cats, and critters available for no-fee adoption.
Homes were found for 70 kittens, as well 47 fabulous senior and long-timer cats and dogs. The most mature pet adopted during the three-day fair was Tabby, a 15-year-old brown and black tabby cat.
