If you're a runner or walker, The Seattle Animal Shelter's Furry 5K is a great opportunity for you to help raise money for life-saving veterinary care for sick, injured and abused animals.
Shelter staff expects more than 3,000 people and 1,500 pooches for the June 7 event, which begins at 10 a.m. at Seward Park.
Afterward, enjoy live music and browse the Pet Expo vendor area.
An awards ceremony will include prizes for first, second and third place men and women, and the top three dogs with male runners and top three dogs with female runners.
And stick around for the always entertaining Amazing Dog Tricks Competition.
