Nutro is recalling dry cat foods in the U.S. and 10 other countries because there are incorrect levels of zinc and potassium in the food.
The company is recalling some Max Cat and Natural Choice products that had "best if used by dates" between May 12, 2010 and Aug. 22, 2010.
If you have any of the affected products you should immediately stop feeding it to your cats and return it to the retailer for a refund or exchange.
The company says they have had no complaints, but cat owners should monitor their cat for symptoms, including a reduction in appetite or refusal of food, weight loss, vomiting or diarrhea.
For more information you can call 1-800-833-5330 between the hours 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST or visit the Nutro Web site.
