More than $130,000 was raised at Seattle Humane Society's Walk for the Animals on Sunday.
Hundreds of people and their dogs walked to raise critical life-saving funds to provide food, medical care and shelter to the animals.
SHS says the top fundraiser in the 12 and under age group was Grace Nieman, who raised $690 for the animals. In the 13 and over category, Ruth FJellman raised $1,660.
The highest fundraising team was Michele's Pets, formed in memory of the late Michele Vivona, a Seattle Humane Society board member and avid animal lover who passed away suddenly last year. Michele's Pets raised an amazing $7,080.
After the Walk, the fun continued at FidoFEST, a dog-centric afternoon with contests, adoptable animals, kids' activities and pet-related vendors.
