Pawsitive Alliance says 116 dogs and cats were adopted at the Bow Wow Meow Luau Adoption Event in Kirkland.

It was the largest single day adoption number at a Pawsitive Alliance event since the group started hosting them in 2005.

All of the animals available for adoption were brought by western and central Washington rescues and shelters.

“I was doing the hula I was so happy.” said Yolanda Morris, Co-Founder and Board President as matches were being made.

As successful as the event was, many wonderful dogs and cats weren’t adopted and are still waiting for their next chance to find a great home.

To help them and many more homeless animals Pawsitive Alliance’s next hosted event is Woofstock 2014 being held August 2 at Todd Field on the campus of Puget Sound University in Tacoma in partnership with Dugan Foundation.
