My favorite plant sale of the year is just around the corner — It’s the Northwest Horticultural Society’s annual fall plant sale at the North Seattle Community College.
Why is it my favorite?
Because the best specialty growers in the region will be selling mouth watering, can’t-live-without, one-of-a-kind, nobody else has, fantabulous plants.
Every year, I drive my SUV to load up with treasures that will give me immense pleasure as I watch them grow. And it’s not just about the plants. Watching other plant addicts excitedly fill their cars, grinning from ear to ear, with luscious finds is almost as much fun as the plants I buy for myself.
The atmosphere is electric, jovial, and sometimes even competitive.
Also, we all learn detailed information about growing conditions and how the plants will perform from the very people who grow them.
Join me for the hunt, but I’ll do my best to get there before you do!
