On December 13, Noridian, a local Medicare carrier covering thousands of lives in (Seattle or Phoenix), is holding a public meeting to discuss coverage policies for various treatments including the use of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), also known as CyberKnife radiosurgery, for prostate cancer.

CyberKnife radiosurgery is a non-invasive approach to treating prostate cancer and requires 5 days to complete. The use of the treatment is supported by peer-reviewed, published research.

·         To attend the meeting, you must register by November 29 by contacting Marie Gray at 425-697-8515 or by email at Marie.Gray@noridian.com.
·         If you are unable to attend, you can submit written comments to Noridian to express your thoughts on patient access to CyberKnife radiosurgery for prostate cancer.
·         Email policyb.drafts@noridian.com by December 15 to have your voice heard.
·         More information about CyberKnife radiosurgery can be found online at www.cyberknife.com.
