On December 13, Noridian, a local Medicare carrier covering thousands of lives in (Seattle or Phoenix), is holding a public meeting to discuss coverage policies for various treatments including the use of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), also known as CyberKnife radiosurgery, for prostate cancer.
CyberKnife radiosurgery is a non-invasive approach to treating prostate cancer and requires 5 days to complete. The use of the treatment is supported by peer-reviewed, published research.
