You may recognize the name Manu Tuiasosopo as a local NFL great out of Woodinville and player for the Seattle Seahawks from 1979 to 1983. Manu was a member of the Seahawks’ first-ever playoff team in 1983 before going on to become Super Bowl XIX Champion. Today Manu is active in community service, working with a range of local and national non-profits and currently focused on helping coach and counsel youths in education and football.
For his work as a role model on and off the field, Manu will be one of four outstanding Asian Pacific Americans honored in the 2014 Asian Hall of Fame in May. Manu will be joined by Bremerton-native and Olympic gold medalist Nathan Adrian, as well as actor Grace Park of Hawaii Five-0 and former US Secretary of Transportation and US Secretary of Commerce, Norman Y. Mineta.
