Since 1976, the World Association for Children and Parents (WACAP) has placed over 10,000 children into loving adoptive families. Headquartered in Renton, WACAP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency that goes beyond placing healthy babies with adoptive parents. WACAP also finds families for older children and children with varied medical and developmental needs. These children come from Bulgaria, China, Ethiopia, India, Korea, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand…and right here in the Pacific Northwest.
Through WACAP’s Promise Child Fund, individual and corporate donors are able to help subsidize the adoption costs for boys and girls who might typically be harder to find families for either due to their age or other individual needs they may have. By bringing down the costs associated with adoption, WACAP is able to cast a wider net to find families for these children. The Children’s Hope Gala & Auction is one way that people and organizations in our community can support WACAP’s vision of: A Family for EVERY Child!
