The holidays can be a tough time of the year for families in crisis. As you are preparing for the holidays, consider spending a little bit extra for families in need. These families have gone through a lot, especially the children, and you can really make a difference by letting them know that someone out there cares about them. API Chaya is holding a gift drive for the families we work with and have collected a wishlist from the children of survivors we serve.

If you're interested in donating a gift please email to receive a wish list or you can pick up a gift tag with a child's wish on it at World Pizza (672 South King Street, Seattle WA 98104).  We are also accepting grocery gift cards which can help families meet their basic needs.  Gift cards can be mailed to Attn: API Chaya Gift Drive, PO Box 14047 Seattle, WA 98114

World Pizza has also graciously allowed us to use their space for gift collection.  Please submit the gift unwrapped at the drop-off box located inside the store by December 10th.  Each child has shared with us three things that they'd like for the holidays, please donate at least one item on the wishlist. Some children/tags don't have a specific request but any age-appropriate gift would be appreciated.

Here is our facebook event page for the gift drive:

Thank you and happy holidays from API Chaya.
