Free Subs for Donation to Help Kids!
If you’ve ever had a seriously ill child or know someone who has, you know it is a heart-wrenching experience. As a community, we are fortunate to have an amazing hospital in our backyard. Seattle Children’s Hospital delivers superior patient care, advances new discoveries and treatments through pediatric research, and serves as the pediatric and adolescent academic medical referral center for the largest landmass of any children’s hospital in the country.
I am on the board of the Mukilteo Chamber of Commerce and a colleague has a child with leukemia who is being treated at Seattle Children's Hospital, so it is very close to my heart.
As a local storeowner of Jersey Mike’s Subs, I am honored to help raise funds for such a wonderful hospital. Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 28, is Make a Difference Day, part of Jersey Mike’s national Month of Giving initiative. All of March, we have been raising money for the kids and now, along with my fellow local Jersey Mike’s owners, I invite Puget Sound area residents to come in for the finale and make a difference in children’s lives.
Here’s how it works: Tomorrow, visit any of the eight Seattle area Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants (Shoreline, Mukilteo, Lynnwood, Kent, Bonney Lake, Redmond, Covington and Arlington) and you will receive a free regular size sub with a minimum $2 donation to Seattle Children’s Hospital. Of course, we hope you will come in with a generous heart and donate even more!
As Michele Smith, Seattle Children’s Foundation Trustee, said, “This partnership, along with the community supporting it, allows us to provide skilled and compassionate care to today’s patients while researching tomorrow’s cures.”
At Jersey Mike’s, we are committed to giving back to the communities we serve. I know that our customers share this passion and, with your help, we hope to make a big difference in the lives of children.
This goes beyond our community. A special nationwide celebration, “Make A Difference Day,” is taking place at all Jersey Mike’s locations tomorrow to benefit 74 different charities with a mission to help children. Last year’s nationwide campaign raised more than $600,000 for 66 charities across the country and we hope this year’s campaign will raise even more money.
For a list of participating restaurants in the area and for more information on Seattle Children’s Hospital you can visit www.jerseymikes.com/mog
We hope you will be able to join us in the celebration.
