According to Northwest Harvest, Washington’s Statewide Food Relief Agency, 1 in 4 children in our state lives in a home where there’s not enough food. That’s 396,000 children!
This holiday season, a group of local students will work to bring that number down. Northlake Montessori in Bothell is participating in Home Team Harvest because hunger shouldn’t be an obstacle for kids in our community.
Northlake Montessori (a previous Best of Western Washington winner!) is collecting food and diapers throughout the month of November.
The director, Michelle Peterson, is excited to teach her students the value of community service—especially when the effected person is someone like them.
Thank you to everyone at Northlake Montessori! We look forward to seeing them on December 1 and hope you’ll be there too. http://www.nlmontessori.com/
