I'm sorry to say, I am why traffic may be worse tomorrow.
Out of fear of sitting in my car, full of frustration, I took a different way to work this morning. I live in West Seattle and, like many people, tried out the water taxi.
As I walked the 20 minutes from my house to the dock, I thought, "I could do this every day! It's a nice quiet way to begin my day."
I just missed the 7:45, so I waited patiently in line for the 8:15. The ferry workers were full of smiles and welcoming spirits.
I got off at Pier 50, and made the two-and-a-half mile trek to work. It started to rain, and I started getting antsy. An hour and a half after I started my journey, I got to work with wet pant legs, a sweaty brow and terrible hair. Then I realized I had to do it again at the end of my day.
I just don't think his method of commuting is sustainable for me. Back to the car!
