Thurs, May 16 - Interview with Peter Seligmann
In conjunction with National Endangered Species day (May 17th), the Seattle Garden Club is putting on the Iris Wagner Conservation Lecture in partnership with the Seattle Aquarium. Peter Seligman, CEO of Conservation International, is speaking about climate change and the health of Puget Sound. After Peter presents his 30-40min lecture, Jean Enersen will “interview” Peter on stage. The reception begins at 6:30pm and the program starts at 7:30pm in Seattle Aquarium’s Undersea Conference room.
Tues, May 14 - Go Red for Women Luncheon
The American Heart Association hosts their “Go Red for Women Luncheon” to educate and empower women about heart disease. The dress for the event is business attire with a splash of red. The keynote speaker of the event is relationship expert, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and emcee is Jean Enersen. Registration, the health expo, and silent auction begin at 11am and the luncheon and presentation begin at noon. The event is at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront (2100 Alaskan Way).

The Northwest Kidney Center hosts their annual “Breakfast of Hope” to benefit their mission of patient care, education, and research. The audience includes 800 kidney health supporters. Keynote speaker is Mark Bittman and Master of Ceremonies is Jesse Jones. The event is from 7:30-8:45am at The Westin, Grand Ballroom, in Seattle.

The Northwest African American Museum is holding their annual gala, Night at the Museum, to celebrate the Museum’s fifth anniversary and honor two Seattle hometown baseball icons Bill North and Joe Staton. Jesse will emcee the event. The gala is from 6:00pm-9:00pm at the museum.

The American Diabetes Association of Puget Sound will be riding in the annual Tour De Cure to inspire and support the courage of those who live with diabetes. The goal is to raise $500,000 this year. Jeff has no official role, but will be riding as a participant. The event is held at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington.

MDA Muscle Walk is a series of local walk events across the country held to pay tribute to and raise funds for children and adults served by the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
