Two very special clubs in the White River School District are leading the effort to spread kindness and compassion among their community and classmates.

The “Friends of Rachel” club at White River High School and the “Chain Links” club at Glacier Middle School are already known for doing good work in the community.  This spring they’ll take their mission even further by participating in the KING 5 Hometeam Summer Hunger Challenge!

Here’s how they’ll do it:  Each club will start collecting non-perishable food on their school campuses.  They will also each adopt two elementary schools in the district and promote the food drive there as well.

In all, collections will happen at:
• White River High School
• Glacier Middle School
• Mountain Meadow Elementary
• Foothills Elementary
• Elk Ridge Elementary
• Wilkeson Elementary
• White River District Headquarters

We’re so excited to have each of these schools on board and the support of the District.  We’ll see the bounty of their efforts on June 10th at the Tacoma Mall and look forward to congratulating them directly for all their hard work.

Hope to see you there too!
