Rain is back in the forecast for this weekend, but instead of fighting a case of the stir-crazies, I suggest you load your family into the car and head down to MOAHI.
The Bezos Center for Innovation opens on October 12 thanks to a generous donation from Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos (of Amazon fame).
The new feature exhibit attempts to answer the questions; why have so many innovations and inventions come out of the Seattle region?  What are the ingredients for this culture of creativity?  Is it the rain?  The coffee?

(must be the coffee!)

With an educational look back and an inspired look forward, see if you can find the answer yourself.  Or at least get inspired to ask a new question of your own.   It might just spark the next great idea.

ABOUT THE EXHIBIT:
Explore how innovation shaped our region and changed the world. Through interactive exhibits, community and educational programs, and first-person insights from leading innovators, discover Seattle's role as a nexus of big ideas and new directions - and ignite the innovator within! Generously supported by Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos, this is the place to discover the past and future of creativity and invention in our region.
What does innovation look like? Who innovates, where does it happen, and how do great ideas evolve? To find out more, tackle a challenge in the Idea Lab, discover a Seattle-made invention in the Patent Tree, and check out cutting-edge concepts in What's Next. Through lectures, workshops, and changing displays, Seattle innovators will share their latest projects and invite you to take a look at the future as it unfolds.
