The Everett Fire Department on Wednesday honored a fifth-grade student for coming to the aid of a school employee last week.
Last Tuesday, Jalene Williams saw the employee collapse on the playground at Silver Firs Elementary School. She immediately ran and got help ... action that responders said saved the employee's life.
Williams said she knew the employee had health problems, so she knew to get help fast.
A player from the Everett Aquasox baseball team also presented Williams with a signed jersey, and the team will have her throw the first pitch at their next home game.
