Your gift enables the Red Cross to prepare for and provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance in response to disasters.  They are already at work in Eastern Washington, opening a shelter at the Cle Elum Senior Center and supporting a shelter at Central Washington University.

The Red Cross is currently providing meals at the Cle Elum shelter for Victims, Emergency Operations Center personnel, Helicopter Pilots, and Volunteers managing livestock shelter at county fairgrounds.

KING 5 Television has a long history of partnering with U.S. Bank and the Red Cross to support the community in times of need.   Since launching our first effort with Hurricane Katrina in 2005, KING 5 viewers have generously donated more than $2.5 million dollars to support victims of Katrina, California Wildfires, Northwest Floods, the earthquake in Haiti and tsunami in Japan.

Once again, we kindly thank the viewers of KING 5 for their generosity and support.
