It’s being called an Evening of Healing, Hugs and Hope, but for the children and families benefitting from the programs Childhaven has to offer, it will mean so much more.
Childhaven not only heals families already shattered by abuse and neglect, they also work to prevent it from occurring again. They create entirely new futures for some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community, our kids.
Former Seahawk, Mack Strong and his wife Zoe are longtime supporters of Childhaven. Each year they act as Honorary Co-Chairs of the evening and bring their friends from the Seattle Seahawks with them.
For 2011, KING 5 also returns as a media sponsor of the event. Leading our effort is Evening Magazine reporter, Michael King! Michael will serve as emcee of the evening’s festivities. He is also bringing the Childhaven story to Evening Magazine audience members through a profile of the Seahawks Trainer. Keeping players happy, healthy and on the field is no easy task! Be sure to tune in the week of November 7th to catch the story.
