Rob McKenna and Jay Inslee set to square-off in live television broadcast across Washington State
SEATTLE— Washington State Gubernatorial candidates Jay Inslee (D) and Rob McKenna (R) have agreed to participate in debate co-sponsored by KING 5 News and The Seattle Times on Tuesday, October 16th.
The debate will be held in the KING 5 studios and televised live from 8:00-9:00pm, immediately following the second Presidential debate.
It will also be streamed live on king5.com, air live statewide on NWCN, and will be carried by other television and radio partners, assuring the widest possible audience for this important political debate.
“This is an important election year for the country and for Washington. Voter interest is high and it is essential that citizens have the information they need to make informed choices,” said Ray Heacox, President and General Manager of KING TV. “This debate continues KING 5’s tradition of excellence in political programming. We look forward to a lively discussion of the issues that matter to people across our state. “
October 16 is three weeks before the November 6 general election and a few days before ballots are mailed to Washington voters.
A complete list of broadcast partners will be made available next month.
