The Home Team recognized for outstanding achievements in journalism
SEATTLE—The Radio Television Digital News Association today announced the regional winners of the 2013 Edward R. Murrow Awards. KING 5 News won top honors in eight of thirteen categories, more than any other station in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon or Washington.
"The awards are a great tribute to the everyday dedication everyone at KING 5 news demonstrates every day” said Mark Ginther, News Director of KING 5 Television. “We are honored to be recognized for our efforts and appreciate the support our community gives us by encouraging us to do what we do."
The Murrow Awards are 41 year old tradition recognizing work of the highest quality produced by radio, television and online news organizations around the world. Belo Broadcasting stations won a total of 32 Regional Murrow Awards nationwide.
