A compelling and compassionate tradition continues this fall and KING 5 will be there to celebrate with thousands of supporters. The Seattle AIDS Walk, scheduled for September 28th at Volunteer Park, is the largest annual fundraiser for the Lifelong AIDS Alliance. Dollars raised each year support awareness campaigns that prevent infections and deaths across the region, while providing food, shelter, and other basic needs to people living with the disease.
KING 5’s support of the Seattle AIDS Walk started more than 25 years ago, at the inaugural event. The tradition continues in 2013 as our own Margaret Larson, host of New Day Northwest, returns to the stage as both emcee and enthusiastic supporter. High 5’s are encouraged as she and fellow members of “The Home Team” join the march throughout Seattle.
You can too! Form your own team for the Seattle AIDS Walk or join another; either way it is a fantastic opportunity to support a cause and help make an impact. Unite with KING 5 in participating in the largest HIV/AIDS fundraiser in the Pacific Northwest, and assist in improving the lives of those with this disease and other chronic conditions. Mark your calendars for September 28th, and KING 5 will see you there. To register, visit seattleAIDSwalk.org.
