Two fundraisers are scheduled for this weekend for a Lake Forest Park couple fighting deadly illnesses.
Jodi Knudson has been fighting breast cancer for 12 years. Last month, her husban Steve was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. Steve was the breadwinner and his short-term disability pay is not enough to get them by. They have two daughters attending high school.
The Gene Juarez benefit is from 5-8 p.m. at the Alderwood Mall on Friday, Dec. 14. It’s a “service benefit.” Appointments can be made for color, styling, haircuts, nail services, esthetician services and make-up. Thirty-three staffers will donate their commissions and Gene Juarez will match the donations.
On Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3:00 pm, friends will present “It’s A Wonderful Life” starring Jimmy Stewart at the clubhouse of the Lake Forest Park Civic Club. Donations at the door for the Knudsons are appreciated. Contributions also can be made at any US Bank branch to “The Knudson Family”.
More information about the Knudson's is online.
