SeQuential ships first biodiesel from new plant

07:00 AM PST on Monday, November 10, 2008

Associated Press

SALEM, Ore. - SeQuential Pacific Biodiesel has starting shipping fuel from a new plant that has boosted capacity to 5 million gallons per year.

The old plant had a capacity of just 1 million gallons.

The big increase also means the supply of fuel is big enough in Oregon to trigger a statewide mandate that requires all diesel sold in the state to contain 2 percent biodiesel.

SeQuential Pacific produces biodiesel as sustainably as possible from local feedstocks, including old cooking oil.
