Best Wine Selection

05:54 PM PDT on Tuesday, October 9, 2007

First Place: The Wine Alley

The Wine Alley is a brand new entry to our list. It's also a relatively new business, having opened in 2005 in the Fairwood Shopping Center in Renton. They specialize in fine wines from the Northwest and from around the world. They also carry imported beers and a variety of specialty foods perfect for enjoying with your beverage of choice.

Second Place: Pete's

Located on Lake Union's east side, Pete's is known far and wide for its wine and champagne selection. It's also a grocery store that's been in business for more than 30 years and it was your top choice in 2006.

Third Place: Trader Joe's

Famous for its "Two Buck Chuck" wine (the Charles Shaw brand which sells around here for about $3), Trader Joe's is a great place to pick up an inexpensive bottle of wine while perusing their eclectic selection of foods. There's a dozen locations in Western Washington.

Fourth Place: QFC

Local QFC stores feature a healthy selection of Northwest wines, as well as wine from around the world.
