Drone photographer feels like ‘kid in candy store' over Swinomish Slough

I recently took up drone photography. I mostly fly around the edges of Anacortes looking for the more unique 'bird's eye views.'

Well I happened upon the tidal flats a few weeks ago and considered it quite an interesting image. I didn't really give much attention to it until I went out earlier this week.

The combination of the right light and right tide, I was like a kid in a candy store! Every turn opened me up to a whole new pattern and structure. I just kept shooting and moving. Each shot getting better and better. I was figuring out the patterns.

The Swinomish Slough is amazing! So much life in the pools. A sight easily misunderstood and easily taken for granted.

I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed taking them and am really thrilled to get back out for more mud flying!
