SEATTLE – Drivers and sports fans should prepare for more congestion on Interstate 5 and surface streets in Seattle the next few days due to the Alaskan Way Viaduct closure.

The Seattle Sounders FC host the San Jose Earthquakes Saturday at 7 p.m. at CenturyLink Field. Drivers already dealt with this once last Saturday. But this time, the Mariners are not playing on the same day.

Another challenge will be the start of boating season. The Montlake Bridge will be closed for boat traffic from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday.

The Seattle Mariners return to town Monday for a three-game series with the Tampa Bay Rays. While the first two games will start at 7:10 p.m., Wednesday’s game begins at 12:40 p.m. That means some 20,000 fans will be filing out during the afternoon rush hour.
