For the second season, the NFL is kicking off its “My Cause, My Cleats” campaign, which encourages players to wear specially-designed footwear representing the charitable cause of their choice.
Last year, over 500 NFL players participated in the campaign and the numbers this year are expected to be much higher. Roughly 31 Seahawks will sport customized cleats this Sunday against the Eagles.
Most players are working with local artists to fashion the cleats, including three Seattle-based designers: Kate Neckel, Weirdo and CuS The Artist.
Here’s a look at some of the Seahawks shoes for Sunday.
You can find a list of the Seahawks who are participating in the campaign as well as their charitable causes and artistic designers, here.
National disasters leave families homeless, helpless, hopeless & in poverty. I’ve been there & it’s not fun. It took us yrs to rebuild from Hurricane Katrina & that’s why Sunday, I’m rocking my cleats for the millions fighting to restore & rebuild #MyCauseMyCleats #GivingTuesday pic.twitter.com/4NQnH5ItUY— Eddie Lacy (@Lil_Eazy_Ana_42) November 28, 2017
