The Seattle Seahawks are ready to address their offensive line needs from last season and will be hosting free agent guard DJ Fluker on a visit.

ESPN’s Jordan Raanan first reported the news Thursday morning.

Fluker, 27, was the No. 11 overall pick in the 2013 draft by the Chargers. He spent four seasons with the team, originally as a right tackle but shifting to right guard for the last two years.

He signed a one-year deal with the Giants in 2017 and was excellent, when healthy. Under offensive line coach Mike Solari, who is now with the Seahawks, the Giants averaged 25 more rushing yards per game when Fluker was in the lineup. However, his season was cut short by a toe injury, and he only started six games on the year.

It goes without saying, Seattle could use a bruising, run-blocking guard. Fluker has primarily played right guard in his career but could replace Luke Joeckel at left guard next season, if signed. His pass-blocking has improved as well, making him an attractive option in a weak class of free agent offensive lineman.
