We all know Earl Thomas can hit, but it sounds like he punctured Rob Gronkowski's lung in last night's game.

Thomas rocked Gronk near the end of the first half. The announcers thought maybe it was a concussion, as doctors surrounded him.

But today, NFL network's Ian Rapoport tweets that the Patriots tight end had injured another part of his body.

You've got to respect the All-Pro tight end's toughness. He came back in the game, played the second half, and was involved in that final New England play in the end zone.

After Sunday's game, Gronk gave Earl some credit for his big hit.

Gronkowski will likely miss next week's game with the San Francisco 49ers.
