The Jacksonville Jaguars have indefinitely banned two fans from attending future games at EverBank Field after authorities positively identified two of four people responsible for throwing bottles and other material onto the field following the team’s win over the Seattle Seahawks on Dec. 10.

“The Jaguars, NFL Security, SMG (stadium management company), the Jacksonville’s Sherriff’s Office and SAFE Management (the stadium’s security service) came to the conclusion after what the team called a ‘thorough examination of the incident,'” per The Florida Times-Union.

During the victory formation, things got heated between the two teams resulting in numerous flags for unnecessary roughness, unsportsmanlike conduct and the ejections of Seahawks defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson and Quinton Jefferson.

As Jefferson was headed to the locker room, fans began to throw bottles from the stands. Jefferson then attempted to confront the fans and was escorted from the field by Seattle staff and stadium security, but the rain of bottles from the seats continued.

A report from the Jaguars obtained by the Times-Union said video evidence was used to identify two of the four individuals responsible. Per the report: “These two individuals have since received notice that due to the severity of the violation of the Fan Code of Conduct, they are banned indefinitely.”

The fans weren’t the only ones to pay the price for bad behavior that Sunday – players and coaches from both teams were later fined by the NFL for various violations committed during the final minute of the game.
