The KING 5 Big Game features the No. 1 ranked Class 2A team in the state, Archbishop Murphy (10-1), and undefeated North Kitsap.
The Vikings from North Kitsap (10-0) are coming off an impressive 38-7 win over W.F. West to advance to the state quarterfinals. Senior Dax Solis has led the Vikings offense with 34 touchdowns this season.
The Vikings have never been to the state semi-finals. Archbishop Murphy has knocked them out of the playoffs the past two years.
The Wildcats defeated Liberty last year 56-14 to win the 2A championship.
This season Ray Pimentel, who has rushed for 1,971 yards and 27 touchdowns, leads the Wildcats on offense. Kyler Gordon, who is being recruited by Notre Dame and the University of Washington, has also had a great year for Archbishop Murphy with 776 receiving yards, 437 rushing yards, and 17 TDs this season.
The winner of this game will advance to the state semi-finals to face the winner of the Tumwater-Steilacoom game.
