A four-car collision caused a 22-mile backup on eastbound I-90 near Sunday afternoon.
EB I-90 closed at milepost 34 near North Bend, with hundreds of cars stuck. One eastbound lane opened at milepost 76 around 3:30 p.m., where the crash happened, to alleviate back-ups. However, I-90 down to one lane to milepost 80 near Cle Elum until about about 4:45 p.m.
All lanes are open, but Washington State Department of Transportation said additional travel times are still at least one hour long. Westbound I-90 is also slow moving with weekend traffic.
There were several serious injuries, and one confirmed fatality in the crash.
