More than two million ballots have been returned statewide ahead of Election Day, according to the Secretary of State’s Office.

That’s more than half of what’s expected by Tuesday’s 8 p.m. deadline. Turnout is still expected to hit around 80 percent, according to spokesman Dave Ammons.

Total voter registration in Washington State exceeded 4.2 million this year.

If you have not yet returned your ballot, elections officials advise you to drop it in a drop box, or walk into a post office to make sure it’s postmarked by Tuesday evening.
